Too Hot!!

It has been so hot here the last couple of weeks. When we're at home we have to run the air. I can't even imagine what the electric bill is going to be like. We'll probably be way, way over our utility allowance. C'est la vie, I suppose. It should start cooling off soon though. I know that I've been wearing sleeves by the end of September the past few years, so I hope this year will be the same.
There hasn't been a whole lot going on. We got to pet sit for one of my co-workers who just left and also one who just arrived. We had three dogs for a few days there!! They were all pretty good, but it was a little chaotic at times. Eddie stayed with us for about two weeks. He's still a puppy and he was so cute. It was funny watching him and Charley play together. They would chase each other around and nip and rear up at each other - but in complete silence unless one nipped a little too hard or caught a tender area. It was like watching a silent movie - funny! He left a couple of days ago. Allissa got really attached to him and cried when the pet transport guy picked him up. I'm going to miss the little mutt myself although I won't miss him tearing up my newpaper before I got to read it. : ) I guess he just wanted to let me know he didn't like it when no humans are there to dote on him. I'm sure Charley will be happy for him to be gone though. Poor Charley. He would just sit and look sadly at me if Eddie was taking up his space on my lap. As soon as Eddie would get down Charley would jump right up, but he was too polite to make a fuss or push him out of the way when he was sitting there. I have the sweetest dog in the world!
